Two Special Education Teacher Opportunities Prescott, AZ (On-Site, Contract)
An exciting contract opportunity is available for two Special Education Teachers at a school facility in Prescott, Arizona. These full-time positions offer an engaging instructional environment supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities, with the possibility of part-time schedules for on-site services.
Position Details
- Hours: Full time, approximately 35-40 hours per week aligned with the school calendar.
- Duration: January 5 through end of the school year (tentatively May 22).
- Caseloads: Position 1: Resource classroom supporting 27 students in grades 4th 8th with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and Other Health Impairment (OHI) eligibility. Position 2: Self-contained classroom with 7 students in grades 4th 6th eligible for SLD, OHI, and Autism support.
- Location: Florentine campus.
- Support: Lead teacher available on-site; additional support remotely through Zoom.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to each student's needs.
- Develop, write, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain progress notes and documentation in compliance with educational requirements.
- Manage classroom behaviors to create a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to foster student growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification and experience instructing students with SLD, OHI, and Autism.
- Strong skills in IEP development and behavior management.
